The Book of Acts records the history of the early church. 

Acts 2:42 - And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship,
and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 

We are building a community of believers looking to follow the example of the early church. The church was never intended to follow a business model, where a CEO is hired and the organization is run like a business. Too often, that is what we see in many churches. Rather, the church is a body of many members, each using their gifts to build up the whole.
